Beverley Waldrip (Essary)

Birth Date: 1946-12-17
Deceased Date: 2001-03-08
Obituary:
BEDFORD - Beverley Ann Waldrip, 54, a stockbroker, died Thursday, March 8, 2001 in Bedford. Funeral:  Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Memorials: Light of Life Ministries, P.O. Box 54545, Hurst, Texas, 76054 or the Humane Society of North Texas in Fort Worth. Beverley Ann, born Dec. 17, 1946, lost her fight with cancer on March 8th. A devout Christian whose faith was challenged but never lost, Beverley was an angel who walked among us. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Merlene Essary, and her daughter, Rachel Michelle. She was a gifted securities analyst and trader whose passions were scuba diving, her children and, most of all, her husband of 19 years, Larry. If one word were to encompass all that she was, that word would be giving. From the gifts that she gave to the Angel Tree angels each Christmas, to the blankets she crocheted for the neo-natal unit at Cook Children's Hospital, her gift was her unconditional love. That love was a fire that radiated warmth beyond those who knew her to warm some of those who never would. Although she met adversity with a fist, her strongest weapons were a smile and a kind word. She was totally incapable, even in her suffering, of conducting herself with anything less than grace, class and dignity of a saint. She was a warrior who went down swinging, and, although you may not feel it, the world will never be the same. Survivors: Husband, Larry; sons, Robert and Richard Embry; daughter, Rebecca Waldrip; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
