Linda Rogholt
1947-11-10 2008-12-25Linda Hicks Rogholt of Fort Worth was called home in the early morning of Christmas Day, 2008.
Funeral: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Linda was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, and had a wide circle of friends, who will miss her deeply.
Linda, an RN since 1968, worked for the last 24 years at Baylor All Saints Hospital in labor and delivery and most recently in the ante-partum Unit. Linda spent her life in service to others. During her final days, there were many stories shared with her family of how well she was loved by her patients and co-workers.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hicks.
Survivors: Her mother, Winona Hicks of Hurst; son, Chuck Rogholt and companion, Faye, of Granbury; sister, Charlene Murphy and husband, Jim, of Irving; brothers, Jim Hicks of Fort Worth and Bill Hicks and wife, Carrie, of Peachtree City, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Kim Rogholt; grandsons, Austin, Chris and Brycen Rogholt; stepgranddaughters, Amber and Kayla Jensen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda Hicks was one of my two best friends during my time at Bell. Too short a time! Then she went off to Brackenridge to study nursing, and I went away to study goofing off. She was smart and generous, and had no idea how beautiful she was. She had been carefully brought up, too. Her manners and mode of speech were ladylike and her dreams were, too. She achieved her dream of becoming a nurse and a wife and mother. Go, Linda!
