Comment:
Married to Deryle Matthews for 43 years! We had 4 children now we have 8 - Darren and Jill Matthews, Rhesa and Ron Gentry, Dana and Mark Devenney, Kristi Lucna and Andrej Lucny. We are very fortunate to have 6 grand children Cobe and Dylan Matthews - 8 and 6 years, Fallyn Gentry 7 years, Hayden Devenney 2 years, Jakub Ray 3 years and Teodor Michal Lucny 9 months old. Deryle and I have both worked for The Boeing Company in Everett, WA for over 29 years. Both of us have interesting jobs we really enjoy and with the sky full of tomorrows we have decided we will work until we do not enjoy it. We both have the ability to telecommute for work but we both have leadership positions so for some reason they think we should attend physically. Life is never dull. Our son Darren and his family live within 16 miles, our oldest daughter Rhesa and her family live 17 miles away; the twins and their families live further away. Dana did live on St Simons Island, Georgia but recently has relocated to Atlanta temporarily until the move to Hunt Valley, Maryland planned for June and Kristi lives in Bratislava, Slovakia. Thankfully with modern technology we web cam often with all of our kids so we "see" them often. All the Kids and Grandkids were here for Christmas 2009 - PRICELESS! We had a great time at the reunion, seeing all of you that were able to attend, and the special lunches and dinners we shared while we were in Hurst. Since the reunion Deryle has had his 3rd knee surgery in 22 months, walks without the cane, is excited about getting back in shape now with 2 good knees and works daily on increasing his strength, has returned to work and is walking all over the factory. The human race is becoming BIONIC! Wow did i say BIONIC, Deryle developed Atrial fibrillation in January, April 2 he had a heart reboot and today he feels much better. |

Comment:
Just had "Two Bubba's Bar, Grill and Speed Shop" published. I don't know if anybody would be interested but it is in most of the big web bookstores. Married to my third or forth wife, depending on how you are counting. I don't know if I will be at the reunion, but I hope everyone has a good time. Since I first wrote this I have retired and am living in Enid, Oklahoma. That is if an artist and writer can ever really retire. My Great Grandfather once told me, "When faced with a choice between two sins, take the one you haven't tried yet." Now that I am older I am paying for taking that advice. I walk with a cane, my hearing is shot and I can't seem to remember I'm married. Can't blame that one on age. Every wife I've had claims my marriage licenses are only good for ten miles. At least I still have my memory. Course I walk wqith a cane and can't hear crap. If I can get around I may just go ahead and come down to the reunion after all. |

Comment: I married a wonderful guy after graduating high school. Unfortunately, Uncle Sam decided he wanted him shortly thereafter. So, for the first three years of our marriage we did a lot of traveling and wound up in Germany for a year and a half. It was a learning experience for me and something I will never forget. Wish I had taken German in high school. We then settled down and God blessed us with 3 wonderful sons. In 1986, I joined the corporate world and retired in July 2010 after 24 years at American Airlines. My husband passed away in April 2013 after a lengthy illness. Went to El Salvador in Oct. 2014 with the BMMA missions. Hope to do more of that in the future and have fun with my 5 grandchildren. |

Comment: I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am a licensed Architect. I am licensed in New York, New Mexico and Nevada and am currently working for Wynn Design and Development on a hotel/casino project that is being built in Cotai, China. Before working at Wynn, I was the west coast architect of record in the United States for Carey Jones Interiors, located in Leeds, England. I worked from Las Vegas, travelling occasionally to New York and Leeds to work on various east coast projects. I lived in Cairo, Egypt, off and on, for three years with my husband. We traveled there for his job (software engineer). After the divorce, I sold everything I owned and moved to back to Cairo to start life anew. It turned out to be poor timing. September the 11th was just two months away. I stayed in Cairo until November, looking for work. There was none. I returned to the US and lived with my brother and sister in Houston. It took eight months to find a job. I moved to Sheridan, Wyoming, where I worked in a small architectural firm for two years before finding a job in Las Vegas. I'm still here. I like Vegas. I play a lot of no limit hold'm and am enjoying my job. A lot more has happened in the last fifty years, but I just wanted to share the high points. I am looking forward to the reunion in September. My brother, Earl, also graduated in '65 and hopefully, we both will be able to attend. | |

Comment: I retired from the publishing division of Time Warner, as a Regional VP after spending 25 years in publishing. I also spent about a week per month in NYC during my career. I was based in Grapevine Texas, Los Angeles California with an office on the Warner Brothers Studio lot and finally back in Dallas at the Time Inc. offices at Coit and LBJ. I was married out of High School to Larry Hall, a Richland graduate. I am blessed to have a wonderful son from that union. My son Shane Hall lives In Silver Spring, MD and works in Juvenile Justice. In 1974 I married my husband of 48 years Max. I was blessed with 3 step daughters. We currently live in Florida but I really miss Texas, nothing compares to my home state. I have enjoyed reading about the lives of my classmates from L D Bell class of 1965. |
